Hooray for new websites and new beginnings! November 12, 2015

We’ve  been going through a lot of changes recently.  All proving to be good.

Some changes were scarier than others. We quit our jobs and left our beloved hot, humid Houston to check out beautiful, windy and cold Chicago to focus on filmmaking full time.  Are we crazy? Yes. I think it’s safe to say we are, but it’s been worth it.  We miss our friends dearly, but Chicago is shaping up to be a great city that we’re falling more and more in love with every day.

We have also tossed out the old rickety website in favor for the brand spanking new gem that you see today! Major props go to our friend Jake who put up with us while we figured out the content.  He did a beautiful job setting us up and we’re really fond of the finished result!

There are a lot of exciting new projects happening for us!  Currently, we are working with our friends over at Mass Ornament Films on their next short film, What Remains.  We have been extremely busy gathering everything together before we film in 2 weeks. Once the project is completed, we’re packing our bags (and my cat) and heading back to Houston to work on…

4 Or More! Our short film for horrible people. 🙂  A few weeks ago we headed back to The Lone Star State to begin pre-pro. We managed to hold very productive meetings, complete auditions, casting, and filming a crowd funding video all in 6 days. It was a whirlwind of work, but we never for a second thought it couldn’t be done (BIG thanks to our friend Allison who assisted during the auditions, and a HUGE thank you to the cast and crew who came out on Sunday night).  The footage turned out fantastic and we can’t wait to launch and share the project.

Can we talk about Bad Detectives?  Let’s talk about Bad Detectives!  For those who don’t know, Gin and I love tabletop games (hence 4 or More- our tribute to our love of Cards Against Humanity). So when Gin met Zach, creator of Bad Detectives and winner of Cards Against Humanity’s Tabletop Deathmatch, she seized the opportunity to offer our services to create a How To/Play Through video. Suffice it to say we’re all besties now. As soon as the game is released you can bet we’ll release the videos 🙂

And finally, our friend Loren Gilley’s new web series, Texas Folklore.  Loren told me about his idea for a web series that focused on Texas ghost stories and hauntings back in July and of course I asked (okay, maybe begged) if I could write an episode. Welp, the script is complete! So in a few weeks principal photography will begin for episode 2 of Texas Folklore: Handsome Devil. I’m excited to see how it turns out!
