Writer. Director. Editor.
Alex “Tonic” Hall is a Houston/Chicago-based independent filmmaker, screenwriter, and editor. After graduating from the University of North Texas and spending a few years at her first “real job”, Alex suffered a mid mid-life crisis and realized that she had chosen a career path she was not passionate about. Deciding to make a change, she enrolled in film classes at Houston Community College where she met her production partner Gin Yu.
Alex has written and directed multiple short projects including The Replacement(2013), awarded second runner-up at the Houston 48 Hour Film Project, as well as Hours of Our Lives (2014), a spoof on daytime soap operas. Currently, she is developing and writing her first feature script, The Elephant on the Roof.
